About

Our journey began with a workshop organized for Chemistry teachers in public and private schools across Oyo State in 19th of March, 2019; at the amphitheater, department of Zoology, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria, in collaboration with Oyo State Ministry of Education, Science and Technology.

The Michome Science Education Support Foundation (MISEF) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) driven by a passion to transform Science and Technology Education in Nigeria. Our mission is to address the challenges within this sector through practical, impactful initiatives targeted at both secondary schools and higher institutions. We believe in fostering dynamic collaborations between the government, private organizations, specialized groups, and individuals who share this vision

Meet Our Trustees

Prof. G.N Amahia

Prof. G.N. Amahia is a distinguished academic researcher with the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. His scholarly contributions have received widespread recognition, with publications featured on Google Scholar and the International Statistical Institute (ISI) database, accumulating over 1,000 citations.
He has served as an external examiner and visiting professor to numerous universities, showcasing his profound impact on academia. Prof. Amahia holds prestigious honors, distinctions, and memberships in professional bodies, including the Nigerian Statistical Association, International Association of Survey Statisticians, American Statistical Association, and the International Biometric Society, among others.
In addition to his academic roles, Prof. Amahia has been a highly sought-after consultant, contributing his expertise to major national and international organizations. His consultancy engagements include collaborations with the World Bank, United Nations, USAID, and other notable institutions.

Prof. Emmanuel A. Ariyibi

Prof. Emmanuel A. Ariyibi was a former Head of Department, Department of Physics and Engineering, Obafemi Awolowo University. Currently, he is the Head of Earth and Space Physics Research Laboratory (ESPRL) of the Department of Physics and Engineering Physics, Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria.
Prof. E. A. Ariyibi was a Regular Associate of the Abdusalam International Center for Theoretical Physics, Trieste, Italy (2004-2011); and currently an Associate of the Committee on Space Research ( COSPAR), Paris, France. He has won many travel grants and fellowships to attend International conferences and workshops in Italy, Romania, Bostwana, South Africa and Austria.

OMOLE, Michael Olufemi, MBA, AMNIM

OMOLE Michael Olufemi is a business management oriented personality. He has worked with the University Press PLC ( formerly Oxford University Press, Nigeria) with a meritorious award; where he has acquired credible skill and experience in publishing. His areas of specialization include marketing, finance and business administration.
Omole, Michael Olufemi is an associate member of the Nigeria Institute on Marketing of Nigeria.
He has a  passion for, and is practically investing in , boys and girls education to help them turn out as great and impactful scientists in the nearest future.

Dr. (Chief) Adegboye Isawumi, MBBS, FWACS, FICS, DMAS

Dr Adegboye Isawumi is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, College of Health Sciences, Osun State University, Nigeria and also a senior consultant with Osun State University Teaching Hospital( formerly LAUTECH Teaching Hospital), Osogbo. He was a former Head of Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomoso .
His subspecialty is Reproductive Health and Minimal Access Surgery. He has many publications in local and international journals. He is a member of many professional bodies including Nigeria Medical Association, Medical Consultants Association of Nigeria, International College of Surgeons and Association of Fertility and Reproductive Health.

Hon. Justice M.O. Awe

Hon. Justice M.O. Awe is a Judge of the High Court of Justice of Osun state. His lordship had been in private legal practice before his appointment as a Magistrate in Osun state. He rose through the ranks to become a chief Magistrate and thereafter as Deputy chief Registrar of the High Court.

While in private legal practice, his lordship had the opportunity of providing legal education to students in various fields of learning, and in particularly to those in the accounting sector.
His lordship is interested in the provision of qualitative and affordable education to students at the secondary & post secondary school level to adequately prepare them for future academic challenges.
